For several years, Jane Birkin supports the work of the FIDH, and works within it more specifically on the actions of the Chechen people and for the release of Aung Saan Suu Kyi and support the Burmese people.

Auction of famous bag “Birkin” in favor of the FIDH Monday, June 18th at 10:30 and 14:15 to the Hotel Dassault in Paris.
As part of the annual sale held by Hermes Vintage house auctions ARTCURIAL the famous Birkin bag created in 1984 by Jane Birkin will be on sale for the first auction for the benefit of the FIDH.

Concert June 22, 2007 at the Bataclan
ARABESQUE ultimate representation of the Bataclan Friday, June 22 to 20H for the benefit of the FIDH.
Jane Birkin resume for a final performance for the benefit of the FIDH’s concert “ARABESQUE” (evening organized with the assistance of Hermès).
Created in Paris in 2002 at the Odeon, Arabesque is born of envy of Jane Birkin to defend flag oriental songs of Serge Gainsbourg, thanks to arrangements of Algerian violinist Djamel Benyelles and training. Arabesque runs for 3 years with over 250 concerts in forty countries. The live concert album has sold over 300 000 copies. In Paris, after the Odeon, the show was repeated at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysees, Chatelet.
